Next Sunday I will have the honor to host Nation War #400. And as the host I considered asking the userbase for input.
Would you like a rather special Nation War with special rules? Should Tridents be allowed? Or shall we just make it a normal NW, but try to get as many people there as possible?
My request to you folks is: Comment here, suggest what you would like to do next week. VO offers many possibilities PvP wise,
so why not use them to make a special NW.
Fire away! I'll try to "pick" an idea that is most popular and adjust the rules accordingly.

I'll try to be there, whatever the rules may be. The last centennial NW, Nation War 300, was fun with "normal" rules.

Allow multiple tridents per team.

I like to try it with my dent.....

I wont be able to make it =(, but I think it would be best to do a normal NW. I haven't been to a NW with tridents, but it's my understanding that they weren't much fun.

Regarding tridents and 'fun', maybe another trigger should be a minimum number of players in the smallest team before tridents are allowed in. Too few players and the team can't even take the shields off. I suggest at least 4, maybe higher is more appropriate.

I Also think that NW should not just be one-and-done, there should be more 'rounds' with different rules for each one. Maybe round 2 can be a free-for-all, etc.

Lets get creative.

Head-to-head Trident team battles. (Two teams, one trident per team, team must all fit inside trident at start.)

Just a thought, but maybe due to the 1bil pot, the entire winning team should split it....not just surviving players. Also dents aren't ready for NW yet....last time it ruined it and this ones to important to risk it sucking.

Since the Trident matter has been raised a few times now I'd like to comment on it. The test-NW we had with Tridents didn't work out well and we didn't see even one Trident blown up. I imagine with the small participation expecting multiple Tridents is going to make it complicated.

I am currently considering the Special suggestions (e.g. NW with Rags only) but I am also not opposed to the idea to making it just a normal NW. After all the Nation ar is a classic even. No. #400 could be a classic one awell then.

However, feel free to Keep suggesting. I wouldn't mind a nice Trident idea either.

To be clear, Sieger -- the only reason one didn't blow up in the "test-NW" as you put it, was because ITAN was nice enough to let you concede and keep your trident. :)

I agree with this, and I believe it should be the way for all Nation Wars, not just ones with massive pots. The players are all equal in importance, in group combat, most veterans will tell you that it's better to be a distraction than to not show up at all.

+1 to Kierky's suggestion -- it would server to attract more people I think

Yes the whole team should get a cut of the winnings, otherwise noobs are discouraged from joining in.

Run the classic NW, and award the prize, but then run some other contests after it. Announce them ahead of time so people will stick around.

Ok as I hear many voices pointing into the normal-NW direction I will announce it as such now.

We were able to drop Sieger's with two fighters a couple of weeks back. Type M shields aren't that strong.

ITAN was nice enough to let you concede and keep your trident. :)

That and blowing it up with only two of us left would have taken a while and wasn't a condition for victory.

I suggest splitting the pot into chunks. Half for this special occasion, and then throw in an extra 50 mil every week to encourage more participation over time.

ARF - Yes it is posible, but I still don't see wars with 2 or more Tridents per team yet.

tarenty - That's not possible anymore. The Money was donated for this NW. I'm only the host and have no right to decide for it's purpose it or divide it for future NWs.
Beyond that there is the Advertising problem. I can't say "Sorry folks, it's only 500 Million now" after advertising a 1 Billion prize the past 4 days :P
