Whoops... I'll get that fixed tonight. Not intentional.

Although... The Guild of Trade Freedom has a nice ring to it.

I'm honestly surprised that nobody from TGFT is whining how this flow chart is portraying them thus far. Either they don't read RP section of forums at all, don't really care, or actually agree with it (LOL!!!).

From a neutral viewpoint, TGFT is not combat-oriented. They are moneymakers and trident builders, basically. They do have a few militant members, but they are more there to defend other guild members than anything else. Yes, the few people in leadership right now are kind of hypocrites and troublemakers, but that doesn't really reflect the rest of the guild.

The fact of the matter is, if you join TGFT, you're more likely to have to deal with combat than if you join ORE or TRI. That's why it's separated out by the combat block.

hyprocrites and troublemakers? wtf are you talking about. Must be nice to hide behind your anonymous forum name and throw out baseless accusations and lies about people. Coward.

Yeah I see what you're saying, but that's only because of their current policy on pirates. They generally avoid paying pirates for passage, leaving fight or flee as the only options. ORE and TRI on the other hand have been throwing wads of cash at almost every pirate they come across, enabling them to focus on their business without being combative.

I would avoid labeling them as combative because the majority of them can't put up a decent fight when they tried. Not saying that there's anything wrong with that - they joined TGFT to build tridents and make money, not to train and become fearsome space warriors. Yes there are exceptions like Electricity but the point is that for the guild as a whole, combat is a secondary activity. If I'm wrong, they probably need to modify their website and guild page.

Maybe divide combat into defensive/aggressive types, then place TGFT under the defensive type?

Whoa easy dude. Defending TGFT leaders in a rather hostile manner even though you're not one of them - makes me suspect you're sleeping with somebody over there. Whatever, that's your business as long as you do it safely. :) This is the RP section of forums IN a game that's called Vendetta, remember? I'm allowed to make statements about other characters based on the perspective of the character that I'm role playing. Hint: I'm a warranty salesman.

Yep, Ecka had been a hypocrite when he told his minions to NOT pay pirates, then bought a warranty for himself. He hasn't done it for a while, though. You're a little similar to him in a way.. telling your guild members to hunt pirates and not tolerate their presence, then buy a warranty for yourself? Call it what you want, but that's called double standards if you ask me. I'm sure Savet can list other examples of TGFT being hypocrites but I'll leave it at that.

I've never made an effort to hide my identity, and I've dropped plenty of clues as what my character in-game is. Nobody has asked me directly who I am in-game, and I would have gladly responded truthfully if asked nicely. Your previous post does not count as "asking nicely." Want to try again, greenwall?
Nov 20, 2014 greenwall link
Sure, who are you?

And PA is friendly with TGFT, so I will defend them when I see a need. Ecka never told TGFT to never pay pirates, nor have I. Our stance is similar -- in that we allow members to do as they feel is necessary for their own purposes. It usually works out as a win-win for everyone... We hunt pirates when we feel like it (giving pirates what they want -- which is pvp) and we pay pirates when we feel like it (giving pirates what they want -- which is credits).

You may not remember, but a year or so ago, FAMY started to evaporate because nobody was fighting them -- just a bunch of payers. What fun is that?

My in-game character is failure.

Ecka might not do it anymore, but "never" is a rather strong word that is almost always untrue. I have it on a pretty good authority that he's done it in the past.

True dat, we need both credits and fights. Thanks for bringing both of those our way!

rozhozhoz!
TGFT trades, mines, manufactures, conquers stations when it is needed, has executive out to stand up for defense of free trade, p2p trades, mentors and generally has a mild spot for all the kids with the eye patch. not seldomly do we smile gently at their doings and not even less seldomly do we see reason to just ignore them. we are very busy bathing in money; we cant always pat your shoulders.

the reason TGFT looks so small up there is that if FGT really took into account all the things we do then we'd be a wayyyyy bigger spot in the map than FAMY. rumors are they wouldn't like that. rzzzrtt...

on a more serious note:
i'd be the last to enjoy FAMY's absence. who will i shoot? you might want to expand your doings. recruit more actively and get a sidekick member base that provides you with cash or anything. you need more dedicated coordinators. but i believe you know all this. vrzzzt.

Suspicion confirmed. TGFT is full of Scrooges. They are more in it to make money than anything else. I don't mean to flatter you, Electricity, but you're one of very few out of their 300+ members that I consider combat-worthy.

Savet, maybe your guild flow chart 2.0 could have "Are you a Scrooge?" If yes, then join TGFT.

I have always pictured Ecka as Scrooge McDuck. +1.

RED is an exclusive guild, but its not dead.

This guild is so exclusive, the only way to get invited is to not play the game!
Nov 24, 2014 TheRedSpy link
That's right, only the best Dota 2 players get invited to the Red Eternal Dominion. :P

They have the requisite skill to beat your average Itan anyway.
Nov 30, 2014 joylessjoker link
Dota 2, eh? Your handle name is based off a character from TF2, so I shouldn't be surprised you're playing another steam-based game. So that's what you have been up to these days. It's not a bad game at all. If you have a good team going and been playing in tournaments, respect.

That said, VO and Dota 2 are apples and oranges. You don't get any practice with slinging flares, aiming energy blasters, and dodging in a 3D space while throwing out hooks and rotting as Pudge.

I'd like to see more of you in VO, tbh.

The rest of us are fine with as little TRS as possible.
Nov 30, 2014 joylessjoker link
"rest of us" - there are a lot of people who would rather that you not speak for them, my dear greenie. Secro nationalists. Pirates. Et cetera.
Dec 01, 2014 TheRedSpy link
I'm sure ecka would prefer to come in here himself and tell me how much he loves me greenwall.

Thanks for saying so joylessjoker. Maybe one day soon the game will be so packed with features nobody can resist returning to give it a try.

I'll speak for whoever I want to dammit!

I wouldn't mind seeing him in the game either. He was the first one to teach me to write plugins, so I can't say that I'd mind seeing him around.
