1: what are chimera's?
Chimera/Chimaera's are half animal and half machine, basically cyborgs built to serve as companions in the neverending galaxy

2:what are they good for?
Chimera's (depending on what animal) are programmed to do specific deeds and duties to aid in the task at hand

3:how do I work my chimera?
Chimera's have free will and can speak in the language programmed to it but also respond to audible command to "coax" it into doing an activity example? Well driving the shuttles a.good one

Of course it is role playing. Far more silly stuff has been posted here. Leave the guy be.

P.S foxessguy.: I did not specially get you in your other thread. You are descended from the Hive? You may then just want to bow before the Hive Dominator! (rzzzrt)

@TheExiled: Stop forcing TheExiled to read stuff he does not want to read, and do not force him to post in threads he has no interest in. It is inhuman and barbaric. Also please inform TheExiled that is not the sole judge of terms like "role playing", and neither is he a forum moderator, or even a very good troll. Sincerely, Thanks.

1: No. That is not what a chimera is.

2: Chimeras are good for eating.

3: Chimeras function best under the influence of music.

The term chimera has come to describe any mythical or fictional animal with parts taken from various animals, or to describe anything composed of very disparate parts, or perceived as wildly imaginative, implausible, or dazzling.

and/or: ...single organism composed of genetically distinct cells...

so the term can be used generically, not just specifically. a cyborg is perhaps pushing, or even falls short of, the minimum limits of the term "Chimera". especial since we have a more appropriate term "cyborg", although cyborg would normally imply human/machine, not animal/machine. so perhaps it does apply.
