If your friends are trying to peer pressure you into using BASIC, they really aren't your friends.

Just say NO to BASIC.

LISP has long been the favorite for AI programmers because of its ability to allow one program to write a new program. I am told that it is also favored because it can be made to do just about anything one might want, whereas BASIC tends to limit possibilities.

Others call LISP job security!
