psh.. 40° F is too hot. 28 is just about right if you got a light jacket on.

San Diego tends to be overcast because of the "marine layer" fog. Bring a light jacket.

Well California isnt that bad of a state i grew up there. And usually i am a picky person about states.

pfff...light jacket...I wear one of those when it gets to be about 20...

pfff Death Valley is only hot in the afternoon and right before noon, its as cold as a frozen sausage at night..

and as a side note, I have been to death valley, it isn't very far from where I lived
