So the network admins here at school have gone overboard an blocked almost all outgoing connections on any non web/AIM/e-mail port on the school network.

Even FTP doesn't work...

neither does IRC.

I may not be able to play for awhile... suckage.

Why can't you run it at home? Slow connection or sumthin?

He's in college. And I assume lives on campus.

aye.. I can run it from home, but home is about 400 miles away and it's a touch of an inconvenient commute. ;)

I work for the residential network office, but we only do tech support. The infrastructure and administration is handled by a totally separate entity. So, I'm trying to maneuver and use what little leverage I have to get the network loosened up. Maybe now that MyDoom has supposedly finished delivering it's payload, things will get better.

Here's hoping.
