Router issues
I'm on a wireless connection, and for some reason (this only seems to happen with Vendetta) I periodically disconnect.
Leading to mucho lag deaths.
When I reboot the router off the desktop computer (connected to it with a cable) the connection is restored.
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas what was causing this...

I been getting this too. I also have some DNS problems through Comcast which make me need to reboot my modem. Buggeredly annoying!
wireless produces both latency and rather often packet issues. I'd try hard to get a cable instead, the problem with a game like Vendetta (as comparet to most other things) is that a set of dropped packets aren't exactly easy to deal with.
bottom line, wireless is a gamble. I know several people who plug in to play and really notice the difference.

I've used a number of wireless devices with my computer, and the results have all
been pretty much negative. Wireless mouse, wireless keyboard/mouse, even the
laptop/airport thing. Relatively slow and unreliable describes them all. There are
trade-offs involved with "portability." As a rule, I think that "wireless" would be
more correctly spelled "worthless."

I run a fully wireless setup at home and never see any problems. I play VO from my laptop, no problem. I also play VO from my desktop which is wired 100mbit into a switch which is wirelessly bridged to another switch that is connected to the internet. No issues, no lag, and it's only 11Mbit.
As to your problem, my D-Link wireless router used to reboot on it's own causing wireless connections to hang and I'd need to power cycle it. A simple firmware update from D-Link fixed me up.
Also, my cable modem sometimes has issues, which is easily dealt with by holding down the reset button while powering off, and powering it back on 30 seconds later with the reset button held again. This magically resets everything in the modem, causes it to re-download it's config from the provider, and it usually works great for a good long time.
