poor exploding cap-ships
I'm sure everyone knows this by now, but I wanted to make it official.. capital ships are pretty easy to wing-bug or dock-bug..
I think I've killed the Zelor twice or three times just by trying to dock, and bouncing around the inner walls a bit.... I've even killed the Protaris by ramming it across the dorsal fuselage.. it must have been at around 80% health at the time..

Just double the ships amor and be done with it. I think that would greatly increase battle times.
And just how is doubling the ships armour going to stop the wingbug problem?
Also, you can enter the "inside" of the capship by bouncing around the dock long enough, though i suspect it is a lag issue. I've done it twice, but I can't consistently reproduce it.
Doubling armour won't fix the wingbug problem, but it'll help the cap ship live longer under normal attacks and not wing bugs. Also, I really think the turrets need more armour too. But this has all been said before in one way or another.
Why DOES this happen? Do ships just bounce too fast or something? Or does a ship get lodged inside another and infinitely bounce around till BWHAM!!!!!!!!!

Damage reduction would help... then small amounts of damage are simply ignored.
I think the wingbugs are you hitting just the right spot to throw off the damage/physics calculations. Back when I could wingbug a vulture by breathing on it, I always spun like crazy just before the explosion. It's gotta be the same thing on the capship - the game reads whatever you do to it as an impact much much much harder and faster than it really is.
Devs could just make the capital ships immune to physical damage. I'm assuming they can since it is seperate from weapon damage...
