Trading Guild Mission Timer Continues to Run After Creating A Group
Yesterday, I had a strange problem in trying to complete a trading guild mission when I created a group after accepting the mission.
My Behemoth was at Verasi I-5, and I had just accepted a bulk procurement trading guild mission to obtain 124 Organic Solvents from Dau L-10.
After fetching the first 120 crates, I changed ships to a Warthog MkII, and went back for the remaining four. Along the way, I noticed a new player asking for a mentor on channel one. After he invited me as his mentor, I created a group, and invited him in for the purpose to streamlining communication by using group chat mode.
The mission timer continued to run.
Unfortunately, when I returned to Verasi I-5 and docked, the mission wouldn't end. I checked my cargo, and it showed that I still had 4 crates of Organic Solvents loaded in my cargo bay.
I undocked and redocked, but nothing changed.
I checked the Missions tab. It showed only an "Advanced Combat Practice" mission. When I clicked on the "Info" button, the description followed, together with buttons for "Accept" and "Decline."
I clicked on "Accept", but the mission timer kept running. I then clicked on the mission in the Missions tab again, and chose "Abort," but the mission timer continued to run.
Then I remembered that I had created a group while taking the procurement mission, and remembered that the only mission available to group members was the "Advanced Combat Practice" mission. In the VO console, I entered "/group leave", and the Missions tab reverted to normal. However, the timer continued to run.
I then logged off and back on, and the timer finally disappeared. However, I never earned any reward for completing the mission. Nevertheless, I didn't get penalized for aborting it, either.
IMHO, the timer should have stopped running when the procurement mission aborted. I should not have had to log off and back on to make the timer go away.
