The page shows the last several posts to the thread, however, the pagination is incorrect: It displays that the current page is '1', (without any link), and links 2, 3, 4.

The above link is to an open "Reply" box. When you reply it shows the last few posts in reverse order so you can review them as you type your reply. I guess the link should indicate that you are looking at the last page, just for the sake of consistency.

Yes, that is what I was attempting to describe. It's not important, just something I noticed. :)

Related to this, when you edit a post in a multi-page thread, it displays the posts from the first page, even if the post you are editing is not on the first page.

Yeah, I know.
