In the event of a storm in Latos I-8, the jump point is right on the station. As you jump, the IFF triggers off and the turrets start firing at you, even if your key is still active.

Yeah I think they added a work-around for this so that you don't take damage even if the shots hit.

You don't take damage as far as I'm aware. Haven't tried it in about a year though, back when I was building a nuke.
