Beep sound when you hit your target
I just asked about this in game, but no-one knew for sure. The beep sound that signifies you've hit your target (apparently music to people's ears during PvP) is kinda annoying. In fact, on my setup, it seems to be at a harmonic frequency for my speakers, and they vibrate quite nastily. This is a bit of a bummer, 'cos everything else in Vendetta sounds great now I have my 5.1 setup (it's Altec Lansing, no rubbish).
So, er, can I change that beep to something else? Or change the tone of the beep? Or even the relative volume -- all the other effects are the right level, this is loud and obnoxious.

my brother heard that and he goes 'wow, this must be a really low budget game'.
then he starts saying 'boop, boop boop' when im playing it.

Haha. Yeah, it does suck. We need a new noise for that.
No, you can't change it. But we can!

quick a1k0n, change that file to one that plays jingle bells and release it for tonight. :P
talk about things that would just suck.

actually, i rather like the beep - it makes the ships feel more realistic and less space-opera-y. i particularly like the effect in close-range combat when you can simultaneously hear the rumble of your shots hitting your target and as well as the beep.
so devs, if you do make the hit notification sound a configurable setting, please leave me the option of keeping the beep. :)
