My Y axis on stick have quit working. Also stick isnt centering. Everything is very jerky, controling ship. Tried stick in another game and it works fine. Any suggestions???

Have you tried calibrating it ingame? Login screen: OPTIONS -> CONTROLS -> JOYSTICK tab

Try rescanning for your joystick using the SCAN button and then run RECALIBRATE. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I did. I even switched video drivers. Uninstalled stick, reinstalled also deleted game from hard drive and reinstalled. Its something in the game ,as my other games have no trouble with it. Maybe something with dx,dunno, has me puzzled , however im not that much of a computer guru. Know just enough to get myself in trouble,lol.
Anyway I was on an eight hour trial, really liked the game but Im a stick user and dont enjoy games like this using a mouse and keyboard. So I dont know if Ill pay to play. Ive sent a bug report and left my email. If they can tell me whats wrong and give me another eight hour shot with everything working smoothe then I will join.

When you run the game and there are joystick errors, VO outputs errors to the dinput.log file located where you installed VO to. Look in there and see if there are any errors. Post them here if there are, please.

<-- yes, i had stick issues today, it just goes to show, i need that dual boot =D and should stop being lazy =D i found going to the joystick menu and clicking scan fixed it, was doing random things when it went, was like it had been disconnected.

Kinda tracked this one down, and low and behold, its a microsoft issue....lol Seems to have been since someone stuck sp2 on my work machine while i was away....

I know you dont know whats causing it, and it may not exactly be easy to fix, but is there a command or alias i could do to rescan for joystick? If not add one, please, it happened today halfway through a fight, heh, because of the insane roll/strafe it got locked in i didnt get hit, but had it been an alpha/beta pilot i may have been toast... if i could just press a key to correct it, it would not be such an issue, maybe a temporary fix? if there is one already, slap me with a fish and call me chewbacca... just tell me what it is =D
