Ok going to do the tutorial from the Serco Domain. Do the first piloting/docking portion. Tells me to jump to Sol II, Sector F11 for the next portion, and what do I find on arrival? A hive queen and about 20 fighters, end result immediate death... So how are new players supposed to get a feel for the game and whether they want to play it our not when they get wiped out they're first jumped out by a high level NPC while trying to do the second portion of the tutorial no less...

Oh I know... it was frustrating as heck, but still humerous :) Spent 30 minutes "trying" to do the tut while having my hand welded to the turbo as much as possible :)

There's supposed to be a safeguard that prevents the tutorial from choosing a queen-infested sector.

i'd say that counts as a bug. lol

thats funny, you just brightened up my whole day. My advise (if you havent managed to do the tutorial yet) is to aborth your current mission, head to another station and take a new tutorial mission to reset the sector,

Hey, if this guy could beat the queen and pals, that would the ultimate tutorial.

I'm sure there are people who could kill a queen flight group in a stock '88.

And yes, it is possible to kill a queen in a stock EC-88; I've done it. But it took me many, many runs, and anyway that's beside the point. If you're trying to do the tutorial mission & encounter a Hive Queen, it does rather make the tutorial a wee bit more difficult than it should be.
