I just killed two queens, one in Arta-C A16 and one in Arta-C D4, but with both kills there was no mention of an XP award for the kill. It used to tell you you got 2000 light or heavy xp.

I don't know excactly how much XP I had before the kill, so it's hard to say if only the message telling you about the xp is missing, or if there is no xp gain for killing queens anymore at all.

You get a fraction of the XP for a queen kill depending on how much of the kill you made. Have you taken that into account? (maybe you just made the last shot?)
I should try that as soon as I get in game and get my sudden money problem resolved.

I just got the normal 2,000 (or was it 3,000?) weapon XP for killing a pair of Queens in Dau this evening...

I was the only one that shot at those queens. And like I said, I don't know wether or not I got the XP, but it didn't explicitly say I got any xp for killing the queens.

I'll try again tonight...

If you left the sector before it exploded, or if you died before the queen you are not getting the XP, I think (my experience)

I tried again, didn't die, didn't leave the sector (not even for a reload), no xp for the queen.

This time I checked my xp just before I killed the queen, and it didn't go up :(

Might have something to do with the fact that you were on a combat mission.

could be, but you do get normal xp for all the other bots you kill that are not on the combat list, so why not for the queen?

I tried again, this time without a combat mission. No xp again :(

Heh, two problems.

1) I made a slightly more advanced queen for the unclaimed sectors, and it wasn't awarding experience.

2) The advanced queen wasn't showing up in the right sectors.

Will be fixed in the next release!
