Excellent game thus far.. The only problem I've run into is that on occassion the thrust keys seem to stick. Example:

Wandering around killing random stuff while strafing left. I try to strafe right and my ship slows a little or not at all, and when I let go strafe right, it accelerates in strafe left. If I press strafe left again and let go, it will stop accelerating and I can now strafe right again.

This happens with any thrust axis (x, y, z and rotate).

Doesn't always happen, it's just annoying and I'm wondering if this is a bug, or if I just suck. :-)

You MIGHT be bumping the shift key while holding down the strafe key that gets locked. the game reads upper and lowercase keys differently, and if you have a control depressed and then press the shift key, it wont recognize that you have released the control. thats would also explain why tapping it again causes it to stop.
