i dont know if this is in fact a bug, but it seems like the color pallete under the ship in the 'buy ship' window would be used to select a color for the ship purchased. however, i cannot use it.

is this something that hasnt been developed yet, is there some key for it, is it a bug, or am i just tripping?

erm, this works for me, selecting a ship, clicking around in the palette shows the various colours applied to the ship.

some ships have large colour areas (Vultures) others have smaller details and decals only.

If you were tripping, then seeing the ship in colors would not be a problem, now would it? (0.o)

The color feature is implemented and functional. Please describe how you are trying to activate it. You should be able to just use your mouse and click on the desired color and see it automagically appear on your ship in the "Buy Ship" menu.

I wonder if you were trying to use the color chooser AFTER you bought the ship? It only works before you purchase.

If you're on a mac, go into the video options (might be graphics), scroll all the way down and switch the option labeled 'Rage Color Hack' or something of the sort. That oughta enable ship colors.
If you're not on a mac, you're screwed!
