I know this happens on Mac OS, and might happen on Linux, and IIRC it doesn't happen on Windows.

In Linux, instead of it displaying in the status bar, its displayed in the changelog window, ie status window says Requesting latest version, and then

Changes from 1/x/x/

Fixed blah de blah,
New timer to bleh

Version is current; verifying files...

Ah yes, Linux just has it blank...
All three versions display it in the changelog box, why does only Mac OS have it messed up in the status label?
