At +960 or so, Assassination missions appear (seems to be random. Sometimes I get them Itan, sometimes I dont. I was once given one in Dau, evne though I only have +700 UIT).

There's really not a whole lot of "rewards" for getting +1000, but I actually kind of like it that way. IMO it should be more a roleplaying element than anything else.

SO... hum... can someone tell me what's the point of trying to reach standing +1000?

Is there some kind of reward for this? Last I know, +800 is required for certain faction-specific ships but... +1000?

Currently the only point that I have found to get +1000 is so that when/if someone kills you they take a major faction hit. Other than that all you gots is braggin rights and that dont even go very far. Frankly I dont know what the problem was before but I can go from about +800 to +1000 in about 10-15 minutes now. Theres a trick to it. Its not hard.

That "Trick" only works for Serco...I haven't been able to do it with Itani (and believe me, I tried for a whole week).

Call me a completist, but I'd like to be able to obtain Itani +1000. :D

Itani is what I did it with. And like I said it only tooke me 10 mins to get from near +800 to +1000. So I know it works for Itani. I think you may have to be Itani originally though. For some reason Im thinking thats why you cant get +1000 for any of the corporations such as Corvus. That being said I want to ask this.

Has ANYONE been able to get +1000 with ANY corporation? Thats ANY faction other than the three main nations. If so please let us know here.
