Ion Storms
Earlier today I was doing a trade run from latos to Nyrius and while I was going through Dau I got caught in an Ion Storm... though there was no Ion Storm? There was no blue ions floating around, the exit point wasn't there, and the normal jumping system worked, so I just went to 3000m and continued on my way.
At first I thought, maybe I got caught right when the storm ended? But Then what are the chances of that?
On my return trip I got caught in the same sector, this time it WAS an Ion Storm. Anyone know what happened? (This was Dau H-12 by the way.)

And there was an ion storm in Dau E-15, wormhole sector o.O

While the way things stand, this would probably be considered a bug, I think it shouldn't be. A storm in a non-bot-infested sector (station or WH sectors) would be a much gentler introduction to storms for n00bs than going "Ion Storm? Huh? What's that? And what's this Aputech-5 doing?"

actually, if there was a storm in a WH sector it was probably a client side bug.. had you just left a storm?
I had this occur earlier today in initros.. i left a storm for initros O-12 and when i got there there was storm effects...
I had a friend come to the sector and he saw a normal sector... no storm.

You are right, Spellcast. I just had left a storm and there was no other effect than visual.
Ok, just now I had something wierd happen...
I was doing a trade mission and I had just got out of an Ion Storm (I think in was Dau O-4), and when I went into the station (Dau G-2) there were ions floating around... everything was normal except for that fact.

:/ I miss having real storms in station and wormhole sectors. I really do.
Within the past couple days I have run into two more "Station Storms", I think they were in Itan and Jallik, and I also ran into another Ion Storm with no Ions, don't remember where this was.

Same thing happened to me today, Spell. I did a bug report before I read this thread. (Sorry, Ray.)

Ok, I undid my changes, so it should be working more correctly in the next patch.
