How about at every station you can buy auto reload service, so you dock and it reloads your ammo?

I don't mind how it is, and to be frank, the devs have MUCH more important things to spend their time on. Look at the wiki

LOL, Yes. How about getting a "automatically buy and load my trade mission cargo" feature as well. I hate missing a deadline on procurement missions because I forgot to load my cargo and then went halfway across the galaxy before I figured out that I hadn't LOADED the cargo I needed. :)

Or maybe more realistically, you have to buy a piece of equipment that does that. So you don't have to have the feature if you don't want it, and if you do want it, you have to pay to have it.

I meant that for individual stations, but maybe it would be more realistic (or would it?) if you had to purchase it for every ship...
