Change Allignment.
I suggest that once you become a Pillar of Society then you should only once be able to switch your allignment to that nation.
After that, you can switch back to your old allignment or another nation.

what if i want to switch to no nation? what then huh?
That's why we should have a pirate/freelance faction, based in Corvus.

What we need are specific jobs, such as a researcher, tradesmen, explorer, and a warrior. And we need skills.

I want to change from lawful weevil to chatoci weevil.
I mean, if you're POS with a nation other than your own you already get all the benefits a "native" gets, so I see no point to "switch alignment" officially, so to speak, as the Cap'n suggests.
I do endorse the idea of a "pirate nation". The problem with it is: greyspace is supposed to be the "not-newb-safe" region of space, so they'd have to change a lot there to make it "newb-safe", or expose the pirate newbs to hard bots and abusive players. Even if you fly and fight like Eldrad, taking on Arklan with a govbus is a BAD idea.

An addon that I just thought of is how Corvus could have its own color. Say perhaps black lettering with a white outline.
Then if you were POS with Corvus, you could switch to Corvus permanently.

Hey, with the NPCs not giving faction anymore, is it still possible to get POS?
[EDIT] And I thought think this is as good a time as any to bring up my, (actually someone else suggested it, but I'll post it for them since I haven't seen it on the boards yet). Anyway, what if whenever a POS player entered the space of the nation they we're POS with, strike-forces came to escort them?

sounds like a good idea, and it is diffrent becose it shows were your loialtiys are anyone can be pos with serco but if your red you fly for them (most of the time at leased :) )
