Seriously, though. As long as the info is only available in the charinfo screen, I don't see any problem. However, as soon as floating 'male'/'female' (Mars and Venus) signs start orbiting player ships, I'd be slightly amused.

Its just a nice basic feature to have. And should come along with the ability to write your own bio as well.

MxO is another game that allows you to write your own bio.

During the one month I tried out that godawful game, the only bios I saw were:
"Lolz!OMG P.O.D. rulez! Smoke weeeeed!!!11"

However, user-selectable character options such as birthplace, appearance, age, and gender, would be nice.
