It would be fun to shoot at some space monster that lurks in roids rather than having to shoot bots all the time. Maybe it could add to mining making it more dangerous just as long as it is not overused.

I've actually wanted flora and fauna in the universe forever. But, haven't had the art content, or the time. Luis might be into making some space creatures sometime soon, I'll mention that to him.

Hey, if you have no concept art, you COULD make a contest for it, like the Spaceships one. Difference is, the winning concepts (chosen by you Devs) are turned over to Luis so he can tweak them. Gets the community involved, and nothing gets added that you don't want.

I'm thinking more along the lines of a flock of orbs that just fly from roid sector to roid sector looking for Heliocene. When found, they surround the roid and extract the ore making the roid temp 500K and then move on to another sector, continuing their search. The orbs would attack, surround and cripple any ship that came within 500m by depleting the ship's energy. After the orbs move off 500 or more meters, the ship's systems would start up again and charge the battery.
They should be 2 to 3 meters in size, popsicle-purple and be interconnected with the same energy graphic used in Lmines.
