i'd like ot make a sugestion
on a mission idea.
it would be something of a fire drill, you know how in the news we hear of station fires and whatnot, so why not have people practice.
the player would get a warning message that they have to leave the station in 1 minute or they will be sent to their home station. so the person would leave the station, and a whole bunch of other kinds of bots would spawn and leave the station. after some ammount of waiting around, the drill would be over and the person and all the bots could compete for the station entrances.

Did you put in that mission on the test server? I was trying it out today, some itani transports were attacking me around the the station. Good idea, just as long as it doesnt happen very often (then it'd just become irritating).

The one on the test server was made by Screwball a long time ago.
instead of just a fire drill, what about a SF team mission.
must scramble out of the base and protect as many SF's and SG's as you can from unbots. the more SF's that remain at the end of the scramble, the higher your points could be (or when/if they make stations damagable use the life% of the station)
this would be quite easier to explain in grey space (with un-pirates), but still may be some fun in the BS areas.

Ok, sorry, the fire-drill sounds boring and pointless. :S
I do like the OMG WE'RE BEING ATTACKED Strike-Force mission drdoak suggested, though. But, yes, grey-space only, I think. Intersperse unbot raids with hive raids, perhaps?
