Mission Editor - What about the newbs?

The mission editor is great. That JavaScript must have been crazy to write, and I am in awe of anybody that can do those sort of things with the DOM. My problem isn't with the mission editor, it's with the ship configs provided for NPCs. Quite simply speaking, they make it very difficult to create missions for newbs, because all of the predefined NPC configs are either Hive bots or ridiculously difficult. I mean, Hive bots are great, but some missions don't work with Hive bots as the enemy. What about some NPC configs that use lower-level ships and weapons and have less intelligent A.I.? I dunno about the other mission writers, but that would help me a lot.

I second this. I know it's probably a lot of work though. Each ship/loadout combo needs to be specially tweaked. There isn't a lot of flexibility the way it is now.

I think the most obvious addition would be a regular moth with maybe just an AGT or something. The Moth Heavy that's there now is absolutely lethal. I think it has a capship gun or something.

There's normal Orun Collectors and things. And there's the Combat and Target drones. I assume you're looking for more "non-hive NPC" oriented ship configs? I could use some too, but I have to make up the AIconfigs for them and then have Andy export them to the editor.

Something like those phased blaster vults from the spy missions would be nice. they aren't too nasty

... or we could have a working version of that old "Define NPC config..." action...

That'd be great, but I have a feeling it's more of a long-term goal than just slapping in some extra presets.
