kill stats by weapon! Kill patch by weapons!
Ok, people moaned about not-so-uber weapons that they get from spending N-hours doing some mission.
The truth is : it's not the weapon, it's the STATS! More precisely, we are all after stats. Kill ratios, credits earned, blah blah.
So, your brand new CW sux0r? Show em how it's done by downing 15 ships in a row with them! And earn a WIDOWMAKER patch, or earn nice kudos saying "WIDOWMAKER kill = 15"!
Pwn Shape with a phaser and nothing to show for it? Earn bragging rights by having "PHASER kills = 99"!
Demonstrated your ungodly flying prowess by killing 5 in a row with your PROM-AGT setup? Show it off! "AGT kills = 9999"!
Hell, when you don't have CONTENT in your game. Give them the next best thing to pursue : STATS! Guaranteed to entertain at least 50% of the player base for hours to come.
