yer...you must be misreading. here's in ABC terms

-you gain control over one sector. every few hours a random event happens (eg. temporary astroid field). In this time you can mine these astroids. But a few hours later they may be gone. In this sector weird things happen like a wormhole opens to a random place. you could have your own station and it could be attacked by pirates or a astroid may smash into it.

Really stay relevant. That was just so pointless. If i wanted a song i would have asked for it.

Erm, yeah, that would be awesome, James. As soon as the 4 developers have the time to implement such sweeping changes. that kind of stuff is probably like, a year away if they started working NOW.

I think most of this stuff has been announced as coming "down the line", maybe during 2007.

Don't hold your breath tho', other stuff is more important, like fixing faction standings, dynamic economy, manufacturing/crafting etc.

Except "temporary asteroid field", that is just silly. What if you're mining a huge 'roid, and it suddenly disappears?

Asteroid fields that build over time, by 'roids rolling in from the great void, and being depleted by mining, however, is coming. Not exactly this week, but I believe it's on The List.

Nothing escapes from the Void. Nothing.
