I really like the new chat colors, although in some instances I think it's a bit unnecessary. With sector chat and msg's, I think it should return to how it was, with solid coloring. In sector chat you can just check the sector list to see what nation they are, and with /msg's being a more private communication I don't think the colored name is as important.

Also, not in channels that you aren't actively in. IE, if I type /join 1 and then /join 100, while I could see chat from 1 I would only see chat colors in 100

Yes, toggable is the way to go.

I think PMs should be changed to another color (maybe white?). I lot of PMs are getting missed because serco also start talking in Red!

Just make these new colors changeble too (I believe that chat colors can be changed in config files?)

Replace the ?????? with hex colorcodes for non-red (or non-whatever) colors. All done.
