Cargo vulture??

When Xang Xi's marketing specialists announced at a press conference that they were unveiling a cargo runner variant of the popular Vulture chassis, the room erupted in jeers. Undeterred, Xang Xi pushed their fighter into production. They knew quite well that their target demographic was salivating, not laughing. (yes pirates, i can give you love too.)

While of the course the thought is always nice, this ship doesn't really replace the Valk or the Hog as a chaser (low drain and MP abilities). While the cargo is a nice thought, 8 cargo really is just an afterthought for most pirates. If you've camped a WH for thirty minutes, you are either going to come back in a Moth/Cent for the spoils, or not bother. It might be a nice ship for the new pirates out there...

The turbo energy would need to come down in order for this to displace the Hog II as the preferred chaser/light cargo pirate vessel, which would put the XT out of business.... again.

I designed this with a recent comment from another thread in mind- where a pirate lamented the lack of space to pick up a power cell in his CV.

This is a CV substitute that can lift that dead enemy's power cell- not a chase vessel.

One suggestion if I may?

I'd drop the variant to a single S-port weapon. Similar to whats been going on with new Moth variants.
You're giving it more cargo, so it should have a more limited combat capability.

Could also serve to help frustrate those pirates a little more too..

It has limited combat capacity. Compare the numbers to the CV. Yes, this thing beats a MkIV, but it ought to!

I can't find where the extra cargo came from, I think it should have a little bit less armor to make up for it. In quadrupling the capacity, I think that it's reasonable to lose 500-1000 armor for cargo space.

At 70m/s speed, and better than a 1:20, unloaded, thrust:mass ratio, don't you think that unfairly outperforms most other Vulture variants?

Again... it beats MkIV vultures, but it should beat them, because it is a faction variant. It can't compare to a CV or SVG. How is adding a vessel that doesn't even outperform some of the existing ships unfair?

We've been there and done this Mynt. Why don't you stay out of my threads and I will stay out of yours?
