I like this idea. I definitely agree that we need more blaster-style heavy weapons.
Interesting ideas overall. I'm not interested in using it, but I don't see a downside to adding it. Let's get this guy in-game.
Also, to paraphrase Lecter's own words: post megaposi stats so that we may compare.

Comparative stats posted. It's a DPE focused weapon, with increased damage, mass and refire delay, decreased energy consumption, and a standard velocity.
Up!
Yes, why not.
bump, but not corvus. They have too much already.
No, they don't--in fact, this would be the first Corvus weapon. And who else cares this much about DPE?
Let it be done!
/me was thinking overall. But okay.
Approved.

What about the Widowmaker, Lecter?
Methinks Lecter means a weapon you can BUY, not make.
WM always lets you other ports empty. Even if you have only two ports total. If it had grid usage 16 not 18 ... or there were at least SOME weapons or add-ons with grid usage 2. The combination of price/availability and the grid usage is the reason that almost nobody actually uses them. Not speaking of the superlight here.
One more vote for the new polished megaposi ... one more large port for a hog and anything Dr. Lecter suggested here. :)

Let's see this in-game next update, please.
a new version of my favorite mining beam? sup
: )

Up.
I think this should be an Itani weapon sold only in Deneb.
Shrug. I don't care, as I have excellent Itani standing. But why would Itani care about DPE? And what to you propose to give the Serco?
Heh, I just want to see Lecter XC's lumbering down from Deneb!
Considering how rarely I lose a megaposi chaser, I could move enough for a year in a taur.
Up. Maybe we make it have higher grid, too, than a normal MP? Enough so that you can equip a storm radar but not another weapon.
For the lazy:
Corvus engineers have managed to wring some additional efficiency from the original mega positron. Unfortunately, these black market modifications require beefing up the weapon's conductors. Their enhanced version also requires additonal cooling time between shots -- make each one count.
Damage 1500
Velocity 205 m/s
Energy 14/blast
Delay .35 seconds
Mass 750 kgs
Targeting Okay
Requires 6/-/6/-/-, Hive Queen Hunter II, and +950 Corvus faction.
Standard Mega Positron Blaster
Damage 1200
Velocity 205 m/s
Energy 18/blast
Delay .25 seconds
Mass 500 kgs
Targeting Okay
Requires 2/-/2/-/- and Hive Queen Hunter I.
