I know its an old thread, however still under "request for comment".

I agree it would be nice if some cells would be interchangeable with some ships as it may be a significant expense/investment so fighters, mediums and heavies. In addition to varying grid power, so bigger ships can have better weapons, etc.

As for the post-combat powercells... I dont see why it needs to change from now.. you blow up a ship sometimes it drops its weapon, other times its powercell. If you can't use it you could always trade/sell it. Certain high end ones could be similar to LENB's.. have some TPG raptors guarding a TPG convoy which have special fighter cells or something?
