Mining scanner range grid/wireframe

An idea.

When scanning roids using a mining scanner with certain range, it would be quite damn convenient if the player could see where the scanning range of every roid starts & ends, so he could quickly get only on the exact margin of the needed distance to scan the roid, instead of getting very close each time.

The mechanism would show the player a wireframe/grid around target object(roid) if mining scanner is installed on the ship and a roid is currently targetted.

Of course, targetless already shows you the distance from selected object, but the conception proposed here would probably be easier, quicker to use than targetless & more intuitive (especially for newbs).

Also applicable for other scanner addons as well.

Adding a lua interface to let us modify the dimensions of the "selected target box" (in meters) in conjunction with an option to use a sphere in addition to the current bounding box and square options could allow us to accomplish this via plugin, and could have other useful applications - a plugin could watch the health of the target and change it from the bounding box to a sphere of 500m or so when it gets close to death to give a visual indication of how far to move to not get caught in the blast. If you're into not getting blown up anyway. Sometimes it's fun to fly through them just as they explode :P

Yeah, that should actually work for all kind of scanners.
Didn't think of it at first.
