An additional use for Android/iOS devices

Okay this is my second suggestion thread in less than a week. I hope that doesn't come over wrong, but I play a lot of different flight/combat sims and one or two features of the others could be very useful here too.

In Flight Simulator X there is a fan made utility that allows the core program to communicate game state and variables to external programs, some even running on lan-connected computers. Guys do this so they can run multiple monitors and additional control inputs for simulated instrument panels, moving map displays, even servo driven mock instruments in a scale mock cockpit. One guy even recreated a Boeing 737 cockpit, using an actual nose from a salvaged 737, no less. It's on you tube, check it out.

What I would suggest is not that extreme. But I know there are some talented lua programmers out there and maybe even some android/iOS people too that could maybe make this work. Have a plugin for VO that allows a tablet to run an external version of some of VO's game play. For instance having a light-weight program that could run on a cheap tablet that just recreates say, the NAV page, or the Jettison page, or both or something entirely different I haven't thought of in my short time here. Personally I would love to have PDA functions on a second, touch enabled screen. I could set it right between my sticks, just under my main monitor like an MFD, maybe even have some macros bound to it's virtual buttons. The tablet could link to the main game process plugin via wifi through a players home network.

Anyway, just a thought. Lemme know what you think.
