Way to feign sympathy for people who play the game differently than you TRS.

Well actually ive had some recent experiences with game designers trying to tackle inflation in MMO's and the result is they introduce so many absurd credit sinks that it just feels like you live in some sort of socialist nanny state that has a tax on everything. So when I saw the suggestion I thought more about how it fits into a future Vo economy rather than just berating Drevent like an unintelligent git.. like a.. greenwall. I guess that's a good term for it. Berating him like a greenwall.

Yeah.

Actually, I think the concept is rather solid- create a symbiotic relationship between the abilities of traders and combat pilots.

Yeah it is solid and it's along the lines of what is planned with supply side variability, the supply and distribution of minerals will be what makes up the available weaponry. The symbiotic relationship between trade and conflict is important to have and is lacking, but I still don't think this is the way to go about it.

It's the truth.

No, it's your opinion, which is quite valid, and I even agree with.
You began your reply by berating the poster and ended by questioning his mental health, hence: JERK.

TRS has a point, a corp like Tunguska might offer career miners (15+ IMHO) a special weapon since their territory is hive-ridden. I'm finding it harder to justify a barracks offering the mining beam as a level unlock, but I haven't had coffee yet. Mission rewards make more sense in both cases, and could justify the "Wierd Idea" in-fiction. (it's spelled "weird" BTW)

So Drevent: get on the PCC editor and write a compelling mission tree that branches based on the players combat/mining ratio, then get it approved. We'll wait...

...OK, done? Oh, I forgot: you have to get the devs to make the new add-ons. We'll wait...

...OK, got it? What do you mean the devs nerfed your reward add-on? Bummer, man. Throw it on the pile with the Conc Rail, Valent Neut, Extreme Drain Power cell, Small port Xith Mining Beam, and Pet Furies.

I broke up with Trade. He was "lacking".

Too much demand, not enough supply?

Yeah, he couldn't fill my order.
