Shields for Tridents

Do it... now. Make it as a craftable thing to throw in a utility port :)

Only if they also add a main gun and turrets that if all brought to bear, could strip the shields off another player trident.

Oh, also: when your shield goes down the craftable utility add-on is destroyed.

Oh, also: once shields are possible, make turrets destroyable.

I agree with ARF, if the shield is as weak as a regular dent (ie, a single rag can drop it) and you need to fly all the way back to latos to re-craft / re-equip it, it seems too harsh.

(if/once multiple capships docks are available it might make sense to make it so shields need to be repaired in the docks before they function again. crafting again sounds tedious...)

Ye should NOT have better shields than NPC tridents.
hint: learn to dodge (npc tridents dont do that)

I've dodged lots of swarms and Avalons.

I agree with DeathSpores, that player Tridents shouldn't have stronger shields than the NPC variety, but they shouldn't DESTROY the shield generator when they go down either. Give it a 5 minute recharge like the rest of them have.

Mind, I didn't suggest that they should, I just said that if they didn't, you shouldn't be forced to hike all the way to Latos just to get the shields repaired, instead of just waiting N minutes like NPC tridents. Not that I have a trident :-)

+1 the player built dents should at least be as the npc dent.
