Capturing NPC Capital Ships

You should be able to capture a NPC vessel after having
deshieled it, then disarmed it and finally docked with it.

Original owning faction should send several waves of bombers and fighters to destroy it, you would have either to escape to a station or perform repairs with ship equipped repair guns to be able to defend yourself again.

Once you have repaired the capship, original faction attacks should occured only in guarded or monitored space.

On stolen capships, shield would not return until you've fullly repaired the ship each time it has been taken down.

stop whining and start building your own capship so you can stop suggesting crap that makes trident flyers feel less cool.

MrAbsurd, piracy is an intentional part of this game, and stealing ships is an important part of piracy.

+1 to commandeering other people's capships.

However I think they should be unrepairable and should not regenerate their shields.

Also, docking proceedure needs to be much more complex than described in the OP. At the very least it needs to involve at least two attacking players in some way, and probably some kind of special weapon that disengages the docking priviliges computer.

I think it would be really cool to see pirates have a sector where they keep all their stolen tridents, lol.

Teradons don't have docking bays, sadly.
