I could understand letting people change nations once during the period immediately after the mutual exclusion was enacted, because a lot of our characters were created years earlier when nationality had no meaningful impact on anything besides the color of your name.

Letting folks continue flipping and flopping repeatedly (or at all, given how long it's been now), on the other hand, is rather disgusting.

Question for Incarnate regarding the following:
"Anyway, I do not intend to make ships globally available to any nation, UIT included. There may eventually be a way for UIT to acquire ships due to military affiliation, but it'll be on a very specific basis, handed out individually and tied to military missions; attempts at farming (or just running off and failing missions) will likely result in getting ejected from the respective military, with negative ramifications."

Are you ruling out the idea of a black market player to player ship trade with this comment, or just the process of actually buying them from the stations? I'm not trying to argue either way; just want clarification.

I haven't seen nation change requests in awhile. I wasn't aware we were still doing much of that anymore. FYI that I've told everyone internally to stop doing character nation changes unless it's a special case that I personally approve.

So, I definitely want to have a black market, and I want player construction of "everything" if possible. But the fact that the "Free" tiered people are now paying for ships with Crystal is kind of a new wrinkle. I'm not exactly sure how that's all going to play out. That's about the best I can really say.. I want these things, and we may end up with a more player-driven economy at some point, that works with micro-transactional monetization and so on. I just don't know quite what it's going to look like, or how it will work.

On a pure gameplay level, I am not opposed to some level of player-to-player ship trade, but there would be quite a few factors to make the process of acquisition challenging and perhaps risky (nation borders, convoys and patrols opening fire on "black-market" acquired military ships?). Etc.

The last nation change I'm aware of was somewhere between two weeks and two months ago. Some people might be agitated over a more recent hoax change that they haven't figured out was a hoax yet. Anyway, thanks for clearing up that it should no longer be a thing, and for the clarification on faction ships.
