Let us change capital ship color despite having enduring title
Right now enduring title locks the color & name of the capital ship. I think it should only be the name that is locked & we can *optionally* take a mission to change if the title locks the current color or not.
It can be a separate mission which can be taken as many times as we want. Mission toggles if our next insurance claim will be of the same color or the color of our active ship (or the last ship color that we purchased)
Or in the ship insurance mission it can give us option saying "keep the existing color" or "apply color of your current active ship"/"last purchased ship color" (in case of no active ship)
Locking both name and color permanently is quite annoying for those who prefer different colors everytime they get a ship(like me)

Might be a nice QOL addition for the future. But you are not locked into the color currently. You can strip the title and change the color and fly without the title. You can also strip the title and place a new title with a new color on it. Farming more RHA doesn't take more than week.

What inc said in the past (about liverys, but same idea here) is:

This is clearly something they deliberately did. The enduring title makes the ship a permanent item in the game. If a player doesn't want their ship to be a permanent item, they can always strip the title and leave it in their cargo hold at a station.

Basically destroying it, and u get back some, or all of the RHA what u invested in it
Like that you can create a new title for a fraction of the time spent farming, for a minor, but costly mistake (what I did kind of with my goliath).
Is this could be a possibility?

My point here was to keep the stats that the enduring title has otherwise why did I make it in the first place? Well maybe allow color change once or something. But I do want to keep the statistics it's stored

Leaving aside whether this was an intentional decision or not (and why), or other alternatives that do not do what the OP wants (reset missions, etc), it would be helpful to see more player feedback on the actual proposal?

Yes, for sure Incarnate. As my proposal above was just an option. But if modifying an existting title could be possible, that would be way better. Even if just the color can be changed, for a credit fee.

I mean if you chose a color based on your guild or race or alignment, and decided to go a different direction would you want to keep sporting the same color scheme? I.e. I'm using TRI's purple scheme now and like it, but why should that be fixed if I choose to leave or my alignments change? Would hate to lose enduring progress just for a simple paint job.
