Make passengers invisible....

I think passengers who are not gunners (i.e. actively in a turret), and who don't have a ship should be shielded from view in the same way cargo is, only revealable with the use of a scanner add on (or various built in add ons).

Also: make a passenger/crew limit for ships (and indicate it on the GUI).

This would:

-add a little mystery when encountering another turret-bearing vessel one considers hostile
-creates an ability to secretly traffic players around
-creates another avenue of advantage for ships with built-in sensors (like the UDV) which should have passenger scanning built in

Caveats:

-passengers still would require adequate standing or permission to unboard into a station
-passenger space designation might need to be indicated for various ships... I think there is a limit now to how many gunners can be on board? If not there should be, commensurate with the type of ship.
-A passenger with a ship would not take up crew space unless they were using a turret, whereas a passenger without a ship would always take up crew space.

That could be interesting and fun in certain, albeit rare circumstances, but why would a crew member not take up crew space? All it would do is create an advantage for capships, udv's, and valkeryies that can afford exchanging 1 small port for a 'cargo' scanner?

Would Conquerable stations/ Nation turrets/strike force be able to see a KOS person hiding in the capship?

The theory being they are sitting in their own cockpit if they have a ship, in the cargo hold.

Not unless they have the requisite detection scanners. But KOS people would also not be able to disembark into a station they are KOS with (or don't have a key to). I guess this raises the question of what happens to them if the ship docks...and I guess the answer would be that a KOS person is detected, and jettisoned from the airlock. Perhaps a temporary penalty is assigned to the trafficker as well.
