Make capitol swarms drain credits not energy

plus for this is that capitol ship users will be able to defend themself and will be able to use 3 turrets on goloth and 4 turrets on trident

negative is that it will cost many credits to use but if they do no use they use no credits

It seems odd to pay for swarms when purchasing and then again for using. I think it would be better to address the perceived grid issue directly.

+1 to OP, but only if the capswarms keep 120 reload count, fly at 400m/s and cycle as fast as firecracker turrets.

I can do even better. Make them use less grid, no energy, fire like regular swarms in tight packs with 120 capacity
And yeah, 400 m/s velocity and 6000 damage

You realize 400 m/s is the velocity of a railgun? Swarms fly at 80 m/s when guided. A guided missile flying at 400 m/s (undodgeable), dealing 6000 damage, and costing less grid and no energy. Oh and it flies in tight packs which can kill a skyprom in half a volley at the proposed damage. AND it has the rate of fire of a firecracker. You could literally solo deshield a levi with a single capswarm turret, with no other assistance.

Also, the OP does not propose any pricing system for this change. Neither do the replies. As it is, it's a hard

As someone with many credits I wholeheartedly agree to this. Please make their effective use only for us privileged with many credits. I'm ready to use my wealth to equip my Goli and Trident.

As for pricing, they should be at least as costly to reload as the Teller Ulam mine. So 500,000 credits per missile.
