another Universe suggestion

Yes, there have been many of these threads, but here I go:

From what I've heard, I'm pretty sure that the devs aren't going to edit the universe map hardly at all before the server-testing starts. But nevertheless, I, as an NT player, find it reasonable to think that it would be much funner for players if there was a Serco-Itani-NT triangle. I suggest there be a link between system 3 and system 19, and sector 19 to sector 4. Then we can have quicker access to battlegrounds if NT decides that they want to have a war. This way, NT players can get to Itani and Serco sectors and it also wouldn't allow Itani/Serco players to sneak into Serco/Itani space. I don't think this would be too hard to do; all that would be needed is an extra few wormholes and maybe some DEF Bots. Well, that's all for me for now, and if you need to look at a system map to see this all, here's a nice link:

I agree for the most part. In addition to the navigation time, the circular map creates too many "choke points" when someone is trying to get from point A to B without being intercepted (thinking ahead to more personal PvP missions). There should be some choke points to keep things interesting, and while maybe there shouldn't be direct routes to the heart of each nation or across the galaxy, certainly more branching along the way would help.

For example (looking at the universe map), I suggest 5-8, 3-5, 7-9, 9-11, 24-27, and similar 1-2 system skips that make navigation a little shorter and a little more interesting.

Yeah... choke points suck, and so does the way you have to navigate in Itani Space. You have to travel 10 sectors just to leave the nation, and each sector is only connected to two others! Can this be fixed? :|
