nation bots, their acts of vengance

if there is such a big difference the reps of the two, say one being admired and another being hated, i dont think nation should matter to the def bots, it would be just like killing a secro that is hated, but if a secro becomes admired then the bots should act as if someone on their own nation was killed and went after the attacker. Now with the rep system and choice of the ship colors, the bots cannot assume a player is loyal to on nation forever. But right now there is a penality for killing someone even if they are hated by your nation just because they happened to choose the same nation as you when they first started to play. I think that nation allighment should be the nation whos rep you have the highest, there fore spent the most time pleasing, and if it is a faction that is highest then you should no longer be considered part of a nation.

Interesting idea, but this wouldn't work for NT because they are a loose conglomeration of corperations etc. So while Serco spend most of their time pleasing Serco and Itani spend most of their time pleasing Itani, NT split their time between NT senate, TPG corp, Axia corp etc.

If anything I think if you get a sufficiently high standing with another government, a series of "defection" missions would become available that are your perogative to take. They would probably start in the foreign nation's captial, and involve things like bringing information and technology from your own nation to them. At the end of the mission string your nationality would change, and the nation you defected from would go to hate status with you.
