can't connect

hi, just installed the game. The program starts, I see a space-station rotating in front of me. When I type in my Name and Password and press connect, it tries to connect until a message shows up: "Server Timeout". Any suggestions? I would be plzd. Ah, forgot: Firealls are down.

when did you try? only because friday nights/ saturday mornings the servers are down for like 5mins to release updates.
