No Sound with Logitech g35

Apr 22, 2010 aceat64 link
I just got a Logitech G35 (usb) headset, and it works great, except in VO. I've treid both the WAV driver and the Vista sound driver, but I don't hear anything with either. Everything works fine if I use my motherboard's sound card or if I use another Logitech USB headset. I'm running Windows 7 x64, all software and drivers are up to date.

Here's my waverror.txt
44100 sample rate not supported. Closest match is 44100.

I think the problem is that the headset only allows me to use 7.1, I can't change it to stereo. Has anyone else tried using a G35?

I just want to add another "Me, too!" to this.
G35 works --perfect-- for voice chat, however...

Going to do some experiments with something like "Virtual Audio Cable" > http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
Hopefully I can SHAZAM it to pretend to be Stereo.

Yep, that did it for me.
VAC is the best $30 I've spent in a while.

--- IF YOU TRY THIS, GET THE TRIAL VERSION FIRST! IT MIGHT NOT WORK VERY WELL ON YOUR SYSTEM! ---

The ideal solution, of course, would be for VO to support 7.1 **drool**

[edit2]

Well, VAC isn't great. I didn't notice just how bad the sound was at first, but when I got a little more sounds (and different sounds) I started noticing it's all crackly and broken with VAC. No amount of tweaking it would eliminate this.

Very odd, since I have no such issues using VAC for rather advanced sound manipulation (auto-tuned voice in Ventrilo, w00t!).

So, plx devs, can we have at least 7.1 compatibility? It's enough to just fork the stereo into 7 pieces for now, I just want sound working properly.

Setting the games Exe to run as Vista sp2 will fix this.
