So here I am, all ready to make my big comeback after half a year, but for whatever reason I cannot connect to the server. I'll enter my username and password and click Connect, only to have the Connecting.... dialog stay up for a really long time and then say Connection to server timed out. I have tried the following:

-No skin or plugins: didn't work
-Direct connection to modem: didn't work
-Logging in on Android tablet on same network: worked
-Reinstall: didn't work
-Restart of system: didn't work
-Friend's internet: didn't work
-DNS flush: didn't work
-Pinging the server from CMD: didn't work

So yeah...I'm kind of at a loss at this point. Help?

Firewall settings, at a guess?

Windows Firewall is turned off. To the best of my knowledge, I have no other firewalls, besides the one in my router.

Is this still a problem for you?

Yes.

All I can say at this time is that there's a problem with your PC if ping and traceroute don't work either.

FYI for others, the problem was PeerBlock.

I am having the same problem. I just reactivated my account. When I try to login, I get stuck on the "Connecting...." screen. I have disabled my firewall and it still doesn't work. I am not using Peerblock and I am on a PC.

I decided to give this game another go, but it's not starting out very good.

Restart clien/PC/router doesn't help, I don't use PeerBlock or anoter programs like it.

I can login on iPad on the same network
