how can i set my resolution in the .vendetta/config.ini file?

I can't set it in game since the only resolution availible is 2978x1024 (or something like that, from having dual monitors) anyway, I'd like to play the game on just one monitor and windowed mode doesn't help.

It only permits resolutions that are configured in your X configuration, even for window mode. I suggest adding a few standard modes (1280x960 would be close to ideal for you although your horizontal resolution seems kind of stretched.. 16x9 monitors?) to xorg.conf or XF86Config after 2978x1024.

With an nvidia card you have to define a meta mode that match es the resolution you want.
