Was able to run Vendetta yesterday immediately after I installed it. I am not aware of installing anything new since then, but when I went to start the game this morning, I received that message in the error.log, followed by:

Fatal Error: Couldn't open window.

Running Sun Java Desktop System (SuSe). Oh yeah, this happens after I run Vendetta, after the auto-updater says "Update Complete" and I click on "Play Vendetta"

Do other 3d games (ie: tuxracer, ut2k3, ut2k4, quake3) work?

Tey deleting your config.ini file.
