could anyone plz tell me how to get it to work i tried using the config utility and i know i'm using the right drivers anyone know how i can get it to work properly

It's a bug in ATI's binary driver, effecting all 9600 cards. I lost hope that ATI would fix it 8 months ago. My Geforce 6700 ($115 at newegg) is going to be here in two days.

I think you mean an FX5700.
