remember kids, when performing a system backup, always route it to /dev/null.

Oh yeah... Recursive force... Stupid me... What's cat /dev/null>/ do? Output a list of the contents of /dev/null to /? And what's the module 000/?

Pyro, it's easier to do it this way:

# rm -rf /
# cat /dev/null > /
# chmod 000 /


Or, if you want a temporary joke:
# mkdir /newroot
# chroot /newroot
